Pamela Harper and her daughter Sue made national headlines this week when they appeared on BBC News in a piece about the funding crisis in mental health services across the country. Pamela's husband of more than 50 years, Ken, is an in-patient at Weavers Croft and would be moved to Cheltenham under proposals to cease in-patient care for elderly mental health patients in Stroud.

During the trip to Westminster which took place Tuesday, 18th July, Pamela and Sue met up with BBC reporter Sophie Hutchinson to explain the consequnces for them of relocating Ken from Weavers Croft to Cheltenham.
