The Gloucestershire County Council Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee met on Monday November 6th.  Members of the OSC decided to refer the Gloucestershire Partnerhsip Trust proposals for changes to older peoples mental health inpatient services to the Secretary of State for Health.

The OSC has been very concerned for some time about the older peoples inpatient proposals and after very careful investigation made this important decision.  The decision will allow a further opportunity to consider the most beneficial arrangement of services for our older people with mental health inpatient needs in the light of the financial pressures faced by the Partnership Trust.
